Blizzards, snow or ice storms, extreme winds, and any other weather conditions may prove dangerous to library patrons and staff. As a result, library closures may be necessary.
The Library Director takes the following into consideration when determining if the library will close:
Weather forecast and warnings.
Other closures in the area.
Staff safety and travel time.
Patron safety and ability to keep sidewalks cleared.
The library will notify local media of closures as well as put a sign on the door. The website and Facebook pages will be updated. Phones calls will be sent to voicemail if the library is closed as well. The best way to tell if the library is closed is if your phone call is not answered.
